Their hearts trenched
And soulβs shunned
Known for itβs beauty
The city, now burns
Hopes and dreams
Dripping as tears
From eyes that once
Lived free from fear
If only we knew
A world of peace
Or maybe a life
Thatβs safe, at least
Where a mother smiles
As her child sleeps
Not imperiled by a bang
Or smoke that swiftly creeps
Darkest of the nights
End with a ray
Their hopes and dreams
Will again, find a way
To gleam more luminous
And live to rejoice
Holding hands together
For love, was never destroyed
Beautiful. π Praying for Lebanon. π
