First Award Nomination

Liebster Award

I am extremely glad to accept the nomination for Liebster Award by TKbrown. Click here to read about it on my page for Award Nominations.

THANK YOU TKBROWN

This is the first-ever Award Nomination for my blog, and I am incredibly honored and grateful to Tkbrown for nominating me for this award. Also, please accept my apologies for posting this after a month of receiving the nomination. I just read somewhere that excuses always stink so, I’m gonna skip that part. This appreciation means a lot to me since I have been struggling to be consistent on my blog, and this kind gesture by Tkbrown and words of admiration by my blog readers have hoisted my confidence and passion for writing more. As first of everything is always unique and memorable, this acknowledgment is and will always be special to me.

In case you haven’t read TKbrown’s blogs, check out her blog site at https://tkbrownwriter.wordpress.com/. Her writings are genuinely inspirational and spiritual to read. Her writing style and content is impressive enough to make you follow her page in a single read, just like I did.

The Liebster Award is an award that is given to bloggers by other bloggers. “Liebster in German means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome.” Click here to read more about Liebster Award

TKBROWN’S QUESTIONS TO ME

  1. What are the top three things you wish to accomplish with your blog posts?
Peace of mind, Keeping my creativity alive, Inspire
  2. If you could visit any time period, past – present – future, when would it be and why?
I have already lived my past once and will surely live my future someday, So I prefer living in my present fully. But still, if I could time travel, I would go to the time when I was in university getting my degree. It was such a fun time that passed so quickly (when I think about it now).
  3. How do you see peer to peer awards, such as the Liebster Award, helping to move your efforts forward?
It is certainly a great and positive step towards strengthening a mutually supportive virtual community and encouraging young/fresh bloggers to be more creative.
  4. How does your writing enhance you as a person?
Being a stay at home mom, it definitely has become a great source of self-accomplishment as it’s the one thing that I genuinely love and enjoy doing the most. Writing is something that always makes me feel better inside out.
  5. How much do you engage in social media?
With my 2 years old boy, not much. I barely check my phone all day except when I post a blog and have to share it on my newly started social media platforms. I always go through the readers’ section on WordPress to read some good stuff early morning before my son wakes up.
  6. How has the coronavirus impacted your interactions with others?
Honestly, I am from those people who were already living somewhat quarantine-lives even before Coronavirus. Most of my interactions are virtual since my family and friends are located in different countries. But yes, the curfew outdoors was a bit hard on me. Not going out and staying home messed up my brain pretty well. But thanks to that, desperation and anxiety brought me to start writing.
  7. How does blogging enhance logical reasoning?
You become more observant and precise in analyzing your surroundings or any particular situation when you know you’re going to end up writing about it. I believe being creative in a positive way enhances your mental capabilities, and an active brain tends to make better decisions.
  8. How important is a healthy lifestyle to you?
I am a big foody, so it’s kind of hard for me to stay on a healthy lifestyle regime, but thanks to my fitness freak husband, I am a better person living a much healthy life.
  9. What three writers have had the most impact on your writing style?
I don’t know if my writing style have had any impact from these writers but I really love Lucille Clifton, Jane Hirshfield and Emily Dickinson.
  10. What “color” best depicts you emotionally?
    From Pink to Purple
  11. What “main character” would you most want to be?
So, I never liked her much but the idea of being wanted by the two most amazingly handsome men and my biggest crush ever (Damon Salvatore)… Yes, I would love to be Elena Gilbert from The Vampire Diaries.

  1. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your post!!! Never have I been thanked so profusely. I believe you have a good writing style. It just needs to be brushed up, so try to find the time to blog a little more. I remember what it is like with a little one. It is hard. When I started this blog, I was so out of practice writing. It had been probably two decades or more since I had done much writing. It took a little bit to ‘get the feel of it again,’ but I finally did. Now I have several projects in progress and a bunch of poems I need to finish. However, on the flip side, I have enough finished poems to publish two short collections. I am working on preparing them and will soon send them for review. So, don’t give up. If I can get it back at my age, you can too. When my kids were young, I worked and went to college. So, a lot of time was spent on writing, but not on creative writing. I encourage you to try setting a little time aside for it each week — as if you were attending a class. Your post and profuse Thank You says you have the ability to inspire people in a big way. You certainly inspired me. THANK YOU!!!! Blessings!

    1. Thank you so much. It’s always motivating to read about someone’s personal experiences and know that the efforts are always worth it. I will definitely try to write more. I wish i could work and manage everything like you did because it is a struggle for me. Thanks for inspiring and motivating me. Your views and opinions are precious and always welcome.
