Tiny Humans

Breezy morning melody
An early drop of dew,
As life begins its journey
with a loving mother’s coo

Million truths to ferret out
Myriad stars to count
Curious little minds
verve beyond bound

shimmering eyes, streaming hope
filled with dreams, fantasies elope
how fun it was…
to ponder and imagine
the world of endless scope

Learning things as they grow
From words and acts of those nearby
Shaped by behaviors,
Colored by the vicinage
Taught to crawl, run or fly

How strangely a tiny human
grasp more of what you do than say
care in deeds, loving words
will help them shape
themselves one day

Learned and resilient we grew to glare
With our minds bound,
Souls despair
Hushed the child that once lived within
Who wasn’t afraid to lose
or scared to begin…

    1. Thank you so much Efrona. I am truly humbled by your words and so glad that you liked it. It was my first poem about children and thoroughly enjoyed writing it. So much to say about it. I’ll be waiting to read yours. πŸ‘πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ™ have a great day.
